What to expect at your child's first golf class
A Level 1 class is 45 minutes, taught in small coached groups, and no experience is needed. Here is how the time is spent.
Before you arrive
Bring water, a hat and sunscreen. Wear closed-toe shoes and clothes your child can swing in. Clubs are provided, so nothing else is required.
Arrive five minutes early so your child can meet the coach before the group starts.
How the 45 minutes are spent
Classes open with safety: where to stand, how to hold a club and when to swing. From there the group works through putting and full-swing basics with short, repeated turns.
Coaches keep groups small — usually three or four players each, and five or six with our most experienced coaches — so every child gets attention and time with a club in their hands.
What parents should do
Watch from the marked area and let the coach lead. Children focus better when instruction comes from one voice.
At the end of the series the coach will tell you how your child did and whether they are ready for Level 2.
Every new player starts with the Level 1 Foundations series. Book the first class and we will take it from there.
