About Tiny Tees

Golf is the tool. The child is the point.

Tiny Tees Golf uses golf to help children build confidence, focus, patience and social skills — and the ability to reset after a mistake and try again.

A missed putt isn't a failure here. It's a chance to practice exactly what we're really teaching: how to try, how to miss without giving up, and how to come back to it.

Where it started

The Foundation Trapper Built

For more than 23 years, Trapper Perkins has taught children golf — introducing more than 80,000 kids to the game along the way.

Tiny Tees didn't grow through advertising. It grew the way programs built on trust usually do: one parent telling another parent, for over two decades.

That's the foundation everything else is built on — a way of teaching young children that works, taught long enough and well enough that families kept coming back, and kept telling other families to do the same.

The next chapter

Once a Tiny Tee. Now Leading the Next Generation.

About 20 years ago, Coach Channing was one of the children learning through Tiny Tees.

Like Trapper, Channing faced a choice between pursuing life as a touring golf professional and becoming a teaching professional. He chose to teach.

Years later, Channing reconnected with Trapper and returned to Tiny Tees as a coach in training. Today, as Lead Coach, he is helping carry Trapper's child-focused teaching vision forward while guiding Tiny Tees into its next phase.

The lessons that helped shape Channing as a young player now guide the way he works with children today.

Tiny Tees' next leader did not learn the program from the outside. He grew up inside it, trained under its founder, and understands firsthand what it can mean to a child.

Our approach

Teaching a 4-year-old is not teaching a small adult

Trying something new

Every child starts as a beginner. We make that feel exciting, not intimidating.

Missing without giving up

A missed shot is part of the game. We teach kids to notice it, shake it off, and go again.

Resetting after frustration

Frustration is normal. Learning what to do with it is the real skill.

Trying again

Every next swing is a fresh chance — we make sure kids know that.

Building real confidence

Not the kind that comes from being told "good job" — the kind that comes from progress they can feel.

Focus, patience & social skills

Waiting a turn, watching a teammate, staying with a task — golf asks for all of it.

We measure progress in the child, not only on the scorecard.

"Hold your pose" is more than the end of a golf swing. It represents balance, patience, focus and finishing what you started.
